75 Years. One Community.

As you’ve likely seen across our digital channels and in our branches over the past year, CUA celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2023. It has been a busy year filled with exciting celebratory activities, special giveaways, and efforts to deepen connections with our members and community partners. We spent time reflecting on the strides our organization has taken over three quarters of a century to build a stronger and more financially secure community. We have worked with you to get your businesses off the ground and to get your families into their first homes. We developed CUAdvice articles to keep you up to date with financial literacy trends and answer your common questions. We’ve shared success stories from our members and grant recipients to inspire others to take control of their financial futures. And we continue to do what we do best: working with you to make your financial dreams a reality.

I am so proud of our CUA team for their continued hard work and dedication to our members. From our early beginnings in 1948, we’ve made consistent and meaningful impacts on small businesses, community organizations, and individuals like you.

Make no mistake, our efforts and achievements wouldn’t be possible without the support from our members here in Nova Scotia. Integrity is the foundation of our business, guiding us to operate in a way that best serves the interests of our members. In turn, you have shown us tremendous loyalty, which has allowed us to grow. I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to each and every one of you.
