Student Line of Credit

CUA's Student Line of Credit creates an affordable way to make continuing education possible. The program is designed for students who require funding for post-secondary education, including tuition, course fees, books, and living expenses while away from home. Students enrolling in full-time or part-time studies at a recognized post-secondary educational institution (university, college or technical school) are eligible.

  • Amounts up to $40,000 for undergraduate degrees
  • Amounts up to $70,000 for Professional Designations**
  • Access to funds – Students have instant and ongoing access to cash to help cover the costs of tuition, books and day-to-day expenses 
  • Save money – Pay only the interest while you’re attending school. There is no penalty for extra payments or early repayment of the Line of Credit. Payments can be made at any time, in any amount and as often as you would like. 
  • Repayment will begin after a six-month grace period after end of study date (blended payment of principal and interest) 
  • Repayment amortizations range from five to twelve years, depending on loan amount 
  • Credit Life and Disability insurance available 
  • Free access to online banking and CUA Mobile Banking app

*** To be eligible for Student Line of Credit, the applicant must be a resident of Nova Scotia, be a Canadian citizen or have their permanent residence card.
