What You'll Need
Personal Information and Identification
To open your account, you will be required to provide personal information like your address and will need one piece of Government issued ID.
Banking Information
If you’re already a CUA member and are applying for another product, you’ll need to have your existing bank account information so we can link your accounts.
$5 Deposit
To activate your account, you’ll need to deposit $5.00. It will be held in a separate account and, if ever you choose to close your account, it will be refunded.
Joint Applicant Information
If you are applying for an account or credit product with a joint applicant, they must also provide their personal information.

Q: How long will it take to process my application?
A: CUA will review your application once it is received and will contact you for any remaining details or to confirm your account within two business days.
Q: What products can I apply for online?
A: You can open a variety of chequing and savings accounts online. You can also apply for a guaranteed investment certificate and a variety of loans and lines of credit.
Q: Do I have to finish my application in one sitting?
A: You can take as much time as you like. If you need more time to finish your application, you can save your progress and return to it when convenient.
