Q: How can I balance paying my tuition and my bills?

A: A budget is a great place to start. Start by listing all of your income and expenses. Try to factor in a portion of your tuition payment each month to be put into savings, that way when it’s actually due, you have the money set aside. Learn more about budgeting »

Q: As a student, should I get a credit card?

A: A credit card can be a great tool for building your credit and taking advantage of the offered benefits, if you use it responsibly. To start, get a low limit card that you know you’ll be able to pay in full. If you have a credit card with a $500 limit, try to keep that amount of cash in your savings account.

Q: What should I do if I can't afford to pay my tuition or buy my books?

A: Come and speak to a Financial Advisor. The CUA team would be happy to help you achieve what matters most. Call 902.492.6500 to set up an appointment at the branch nearest you.
