As we begin to reflect on the year that was and plan for 2020, many Nova Scotians may take time to consider the things that matter most: family, friends, recent life milestones or those that lie ahead, and much more. As I reflect on what is important to us at CUA, I’m reminded of the values that have been central to our purpose since the early days of our organization. Values that instill a shared sense of purpose between our team and all we work with.
It starts with Integrity. We are honest, trustworthy, and believe in always doing what is in the best interest of our customer-owners. That includes taking every opportunity to share knowledge and advice that can help you make smart financial decisions on your own. In the November newsletter, you’ll find tips from one of our experienced Financial Advisors that can help you make the most of your purchases in the next few months and throughout the year.
Next is Caring. We care deeply about our customer-owners and each other. It’s one reason we chose to celebrate you during our first annual Member Appreciation Day on November 5. I had the opportunity to meet several lucky winners of prize draws during the day and know our team was excited to see hundreds of customer-owners celebrate with us in our branches and online. Thank you for making the day special with us, and I hope you’ll join us again next year.
We stay Accountable. For CUA, accountability means delivering on our promises and taking responsibility for everything we do and everything we provide to you. You can know that your interactions with us are safe and secure and that we’ll keep you updated with information that can help you protect yourself, like the fraud prevention tips in this newsletter.
