“CUA Member Appreciation Day Prize Draw” Contest
Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility and Entry: CUA Member Appreciation Day Prize Draw (the “Contest”) is being conducted by CUA (Credit Union Atlantic Inc.) for its “Member Appreciation Day” on Thursday, November 2, 2023. The Contest runs from October 2 – November 2, 2023 (the “Contest Period”) and is open to any resident of Nova Scotia who, during the Contest Period, completes a digital ballot available on CUA’s website and is an active CUA member at the time they complete the digital ballot (the “Entrant”). The digital ballots are accessible directly via the CUA website. For members who cannot access the CUA website, a CUA employee team may submit a ballot on their behalf.

2. No Purchase Necessary: No purchase of any CUA product or service by Current Members is necessary to enter this Contest.

3. Entry Restrictions: Employees and board members of CUA are not eligible for Contest entry. To be eligible to enter the Contest, Entrants must be legal residents of Nova Scotia and must have reached the age of majority in Nova Scotia. Residents of other provinces are not eligible to enter the Contest. Entrants are permitted only one entry per prize but may enter a ballot for each of the available prizes. Duplicate entries will be deemed void and disqualified.

4. Entry Deadline: To be accepted, members must complete the digital ballot no later than 3:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Late entries will not be accepted.

5. Prizes: A total of nine (9) prizes of seven (7) varieties will be awarded to Contest winners:
   1. Grand Prize: One (1) $750 cash prize.
   2. Second Prize: One (1) $400-valued Home Harmony Package ($400 gift card to Organize Anything with Colette Robichau).
   3. Third Prize: One (1) $380-valued Day in Downtown Dartmouth Package (a $155 gift to Nature Folk Wellness Center, a $125 gift card to Interlude Spa, and a $100 gift card to Dear Friend).
   4. Fourth Prize: One (1) $330-valued Halifax Holiday Date Night Package (two (2) tickets to A Christmas Carol at Neptune Theatre and a $200 gift card to Highwayman Restaurant & Bar).
   5. Fifth Prize: One (1) $200-valued Kids Fun Factory Package (a $100 gift card to Kids Fun Factory and a $100 gift card to Get Air trampoline park).
   6. Sixth Prize: One (1) $100-valued CUA Cinema Package (a $100 gift card to Cineplex).
   7. Seventh Prize: Three (3) $75 gift packages ($75 gift card to a CUA member business (R Studio, New Scotland, or Halifax Brewery Market) and a CUA75 Gift Bag). Three (3) winners will be selected to each receive one (1) gift package.
6. Selection and Determination of Prize Winners and Prize Distribution: Prize-winning Entrants will be selected through random draws of all eligible digital ballot entries received by the end of the Contest Period. Beginning on October 2, 2023, and continuing on each Friday during the Contest Period, a $75 gift package (Seventh Prize) will be awarded, for a total of three (3). The draws for Prize Packages One through Six will be held by Thursday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m. AST. All draws will take place at CUA’s Corporate Office, located at 7105 Chebucto Rd, Suite 350, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Entrants drawn as winners of Prize Package Seven will remain eligible in draws for Prize Packages One through Six. Entrants are not eligible to win more than once in the three draws for Prize Package Seven. Entrants are also not eligible to win more than once in draws for Prize Packages One through Six. Should an entrant have their name drawn twice, the higher value prize drawn will be the one awarded. Selected Entrants will be notified by telephone using the number they provided upon completing the digital ballot. If the winner cannot immediately be reached, a voicemail will be left requesting them to contact a CUA representative to claim their prize. If a response from the voicemail is not received within twenty-four (24) hours, CUA will conduct one additional phone call and email the Entrant with the email address they provided upon completing the digital ballot. If there is no response to the second phone call and initial email within twenty-four (24) hours, the entry will be considered void and disqualified. The Entrant will then have no recourse against CUA. A new Entrant will be selected for the prize, and the above notification process will be repeated until all selected Entrants are contacted. The odds of selection will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Before being declared a prize winner, each selected Entrant must a) be confirmed as a Current Member of CUA residing in Nova Scotia; b) sign a photo consent form confirming their name, photo and likeness may be used in CUA marketing and promotions; and c) may be required to correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing mathematical question, without mechanical or other assistance. Selected Entrants must accept their prize as awarded; no prize is redeemable for exchanges or substitutions. The selected Entrants may be required to attend CUA’s Corporate Office or their local CUA branch to receive their prize.

7. Terms of Entry - By entering the Contest, Entrants:
   1. Agree to abide by all Contest rules and regulations, and acknowledge that CUA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest for any reason, without any prior notice to any Entrant;
   2. Agree to release and hold harmless CUA, including, but not limited to, its respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, sub-contractors, wealth management partners, and shareholders from all liability resulting from Contest entry, award, use, possession, or misuse of any prize, including any and all liability for injuries and loss or damage of any kind;
   3. Acknowledge that no warranty or guarantee is given by CUA surrounding the use of the prize;
   4. Acknowledge that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with other financial institutions.

8. Prize Winners: By entering this Contest, Entrants agree that if they are selected as a prize winner, their name, photo, and likeness may be posted at CUA’s corporate office or branch locations, on its website, and/or the social media channels of CUA and can be used for advertising purposes without additional compensation.

9. Applicable Law: The Contest and the prizes awarded are subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.

10. Privacy: CUA abides by its online privacy policy with all digital communications and promotions. Submission of a completed digital ballot shall be treated as an Entrant’s express consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information, as noted above, if they are selected as a prize winner. Providing contact information upon completing the digital ballot will opt-in the participant to future updates and promotional messages from CUA. Participants may opt-out of these messages at any time. All personal information collected in relation to the Contest will not be used for any other purpose, except where the Entrant expressly consents to their personal information being used for another purpose as described.
