Summer is traditionally a time to enjoy warmer weather, appreciate the longer days, and enjoy vacation time with friends and family. This summer, rising costs across the Country may have altered some of your plans. At CUA, we strive to provide our members opportunities to reach their financial goals so that their plans can stay on track.

This month, CUA is launching the Goal Planning System (GPS) to help guide members on their financial journey. The GPS is an online interactive tool that allows you to focus on specific areas of your financial health and help you create a plan to achieve your goals. For many people, personal banking and finance issues can feel overwhelming, often because they do not have a defined plan or are unsure of how to initiate the process. For this reason, two of the most important factors in achieving any type of goal is being able to clearly define the goal and having a set action plan on how to achieve it. With our GPS, you can look at a single financial goal, such as creating a repayment plan to reduce your debt, then learn about factors that contribute to achieving that goal, identify where you currently are in relation to the goal and begin planning your next steps. The GPS can help guide you on a number of financial journeys, provide you with the opportunity to set your financial goals and understand the steps required to achieve them. Members who complete CUA’s GPS this summer will also have the opportunity to win CUA’s Financial Goal Getaway Contest. Our team understands that with rising costs and inflation, summer fun on a budget can be difficult. In July, CUA will join many Nova Scotians in celebrating Pride Week, a time to both recognize how far we’ve come as well as reflect on how far we have yet to go.
